Jimmy Tressel the wolverine-slayer is now 4-1 against the team up north (with 3 of those 5 games played in the big house)!!!
Had you told me that the Buckeye's special teams would be anything but -- I wouldn't have given us a snowball's chance of winning.
Had I known that the referees would make several horrible calls (did anyone see the celebrations USC did in the endzone last night - sans yellow laundry???) -- I would have figured a Buckeye loss for sure.
Fortunately, having Brent "Buckeye-hater" Musburger in the booth was nothing more than annoying.
Had someone forecasted Carpenter breaking a leg on the first defensive play of the game for the Bucks -- I would have guessed an ugly defeat looming for the Buckeyes.
The booth commented that michigan did not need Henne to be a "Troy Smith", but simply to be himself and not turn the ball over. Would that be because lloyd carr (new nickname "edsel") didn't want to be a winner??
All that being said, Troy Smith's 300 yards passing, first down after amazing first down, juking his way past pass rushers and would be tacklers, and leading HIS team on to ultimate victory -- was simply FUN TO WATCH!!
Turnovers be damned ....
Punts (apparently NOT the most important play in football) be damned ...
Minus 32 yards of punt returns be damned ...
Officials be damned ....
Booth announcers be damned ...
I STILL don't give a DAMN for the whole state of michigan!!!!!!!!!!!!
