Recently there has been some back and forth between Chief Justice Roberts and President Obama. The White House has focused it's remarks and thoughts on the Citizens United decision which now allows corporations to spend money directly supporting candidates. Like it or not, this appears to be a free speech issue, and the Court has fortunately come down on the side of free speech! The White House seems distraught that campaign finance rules have changed because of this decision.
My question is ... is this the same White House that as candidate Obama eschewed public financing of the Presidential race, even after promising McCain that they would accept the limits of public financing? Seems that the current President already killed the current campaign finance laws by ignoring them when he ran! A little late to be whining if you ask me.
